We are Noele and Mario Illien, a father daughter team taking part in the Peking to Paris Motoring Challenge for the second time.
Our Citroen will be joining the 120 classic cars starting in Beijing on the 2nd of June and driving the 13,000 kms (8,500 miles) to Paris.
The route will cover 12 countries and all types of terrain that these cars were not intended to be driven on. From navigating the Gobi desert, to camping in Kazakhstan, this is sure to be 36 days of pure adventure.
In 2013, following a string of mechanical issues, we made it to Paris in 14th position. This time however, we are hoping for a top ten finish! Join us (car #63) as we push our driving skills (and relationship) to the limit.
